Class Description:

Ancient history is the study of civilizations from the earliest known time until the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in 476 AD. Our class will study the culture and beliefs of ancient people from all over the world and the rise and fall of great cities and countries. We will also have the opportunity to see the mighty hand of our God as His will is done from the beginning of time. His providence and care for His people will be a strong focus in the class. Students will be required to read large portions of Bible scriptures as we learn how secular history intertwines with the Bible. Students will take notes and prepare for a final exam. Mid-semester, the students will also choose a special project to complete. Examples of projects: drawings, paper mache, dioramas, or written reports, etc, used to depict different ancient people and their way of life. Please bring pen and paper to class and be prepared to take notes. Weekly bible reading will be required as mentioned before. This is a 2 semester class and is for mature high school students.
